You don't say what type of bike you have, or which CB set up.  Lots of guys use aftermarket CB's on their Standards/Tourers.  The Hondaline CB for the Standard/Tourer and the one for the Interstate are different units, and could have different problems (the Interstate unit works through the am/fm unit on the bike, and could potentially have a problem there).  We'll need more info before we can help.

But, the first thing you need to do is make sure exactly where the problem is.  If it is a Hondaline unit, or another unit with an intercom, can your passenger hear you through the intercom?  If not, it could be a headset or cord problem.  If you don't have a passenger, you should be able to turn the intercom volume up real high and hear it when you blow into or rub your finger across the mike.  If all that checks out good, then it's time to look elsewhere.

I had the same problem, noticed it after i tried to walk away from the bike while still wired. Turns out it was a short in the connecting cable. (Helmet to bike.) Replaced cable, all good.

2001 Valkyrie Intersate Black

CB will not reachout and be heard .

J&M Performer Headset 279 Performer Series.

Can hear just fine, just won't be heard by anyone.

Checked Antenna, no corrosion at the connection to the radio.

you can rub the mic wiht your finger and hear it in the head set.

Seems fine.

So what do you think , is it terminal

First thing you need to do Al is find someone with a CB.  Another bike, a car or what ever.
Get on the same channel,  Key your radio and see if you are putting out a signal.
The person with the other CB will be able to tell if you are transmitting.
If you are transmitting but do not have any audio I would say a broken mike wire in the cable
from the head set to the radio.  (new or used head set?)
If you are not transmitting (putting out a signal) Look for high SWR or a short in caox to the
antenna.  If you find that you are not transmitting then DO NOT hit push to talk button again
until you find the problem.  (may damage the radio )
Question: Do you lose your receive when you hit the Push to talk?

I have found on my c.b. that if i have the quelch at 20 that others have a problem hearing me. I can lower the sq. and they hear me better. The Hondaline C.B.s can be a bit of a pain sometimes. Have to have the sq. high to keep from picking up static or blasting squels in alot of places.

Squelch has nothing to do with your transmitting.  If someone can't hear you it has nothing
to do with your squelch setting.
Squelch only effects your receive nothing else.
