Our regular schedule would have us at a Wrench Party this Sunday 2 May.  The weather for Friday and Saturday looks bad, but Sunday looks good (as of Thursday).  Do we want to firm up a schedule for Sunday or push it 'til the 9th?

I have the sync gauges.  I have a couple of minor electrical projects - auxiliary running/brake LED, and I really want to do Chet's 4-Way Flasher mod.  I might even have some tire R&R to do.

Re fork rebuilds, Sundays are out for flyboy.  Maybe we can plan on rebuilding forks at the Saturday June Wrench Party.

I'd be up for some wrenching.  I'd like to bleed my brakes since they are feeling a little soft lately.

Hey, we can give it a shot!  I can connect with flyboy and retrieve the fork tool.  (pack a bag just in case...  we have a guest room...)

Just in case no one noticed . .

. . Frisco Dave's stable of 2 wheelers has a couple of new additions!

And I figure, sometime in the future, his handle "B.A.D.", will have a whole new meaning . .

              He'll actually be able to ride a different "B(ike). A. D(ay)."  ! !

However, I think he'll probably have to get permission from Janet before he can exercise that option.  Grin

How long it usually last?  Only "Official" wrench party I've been to was morning till noonish then out for lunch and ride.  Thats my church time on Sundays but I'd love to go if its going to be an all day'er like the "unofficial" one at Daves a few weeks back.  I dont think I need to do anything (till I buy LEDS or Bullet lights next month) but Id love to come and learn more and help out.

I was really looking forward to the wrench party this Sunday because I've received several complicated suggestions on how to mount an 'agression discouragement device' on a motorcycle and thought I might could use a little help.   (Of course I was only going to use it while riding in the DFW metroplex)

Then I found out somebody beat me to it      -      with a simplified method . .

Actually, if there is a way to do that I would love to know how.  Last year I took the bike to Fredericksburg to go hunting but had to give my brother who lives there my gun and keep it at his house till I got down there during season.  Its still down there now.  Problem is I may not be able to take it to the range before next season.  Any laws about it that anyone knows of?

Wanderer has been in and out of Bill P's forks several times over the last couple of months eventually finding that they had been rebuilt previously with incorrect bushings that were causing the leaks.  He's volunteered to lead a fork party (if it's soon enough for him to still remember how he did it  2funny) so we have more options.  Should we aim for a special fork rebuilding party for next Sunday 9 May?

I guess they can be over quickly, but most last until at least mid-afternoon.

PM sent.

Oops.. I was just informed that May 9th is Mother's Day and I will not be going to a wrench party. But I'm still ready for a front fork day whenever we can put one together.

I'm ready to rebuild my forks but May 9th is, as T-Roy pointed out, Mother's Day.  As I would like to still be married on May 10th, I don't think I can make that day.  Not sure it is safe for anyone to be wrenching on that day, in fact. crazy2

Oops is right!   Embarrassed

Should we aim for the 16th instead?  Will we be sufficiently recovered from all the cobbler, pie, ice cream, and baked goodies?

2 weeks sounds good.

By then I should have my new rear tire, rebuild parts & supplies for the pumpkin/u-joints AND rear brake pad.

No.  I won't put everybody thru that 'cause I need to get the new tire mounted and balanced . .   And, oh yes, hard mounted valve stem fo same.

Whew!
