Hi all, I took the rear wheel off today and low and behold, Honda's molly paste SUCKS!. Splines are worn badly so i now need a final drive. I check the obvious places, pinwall and ebay, and besides some shop selling one for almost $800.00 there's nothing. If you know of anyone selling one, please hook me up. Many thanks!

I found one off the Valk board last year. Tonight mine was acting up. I'm going to pull it and double check it tomorrow morning. I hope we don't wind up bidding against each other. Smiley

Well, you can both start here, I spotted this ad on craigs list yesterday, I have never dealt with him, so you are on your own.

Here is the phone number. The guy does trikes, the ad had a picture of the whole rear swing arm and rear end with 10,000 miles.

If you are a machanical person it's realy not that bad.  I just replaced the drive hub and ring and pinion gears.  Bought new parts, totaled about $450.00  Pulled the rear wheel, pulled off the final drive unit and took it apart.  Even my manual says if the drive gears need replaced see your Honda shop.  BULL !!   The only tools I needed that I did not have was a puller (rented from the auto parts store) to get the pinion gear out ad a small press which I made out of a little hydrolic jack.  I was lucky though all my bearings were in great shape.  If they are bad also the cost will be a little higher.  But you do get the peice of mind that your ride has new parts.  Mine has been back together and I've road a 1000 miles or so and it's great. One small note, make sure when you assemble the back plate to the housing both surfaces are spotless that will ensure a good seal when you go back together.  I used a very ssamll amount of black permatex as a sealer.
