Recall,

Daryl (the man behind XF6) is a good friend of mine, and lives pretty close to me.  I just phoned him (left a message), and asked him your question.  He does not post too much on these boards, for fear of getting grief for promoting his products.  I, on the other hand, have no issues at all helping out when it comes to his parts.

Once he gets back to me, I'll post again, and let ya know what he says...

i have a 4 and 1/2 degree tree on mine...as far as i can tell it has no affect on the windshield..because the tree still sits the same way on the frame..what kicks the forks out is the way the holes are drilled into the tree to slide the forks up threw. the holes are drill at an angle..

I have a similar concern regarding the Memphis Shades Batwing, I am putting my bike back together including new XF6 trees and I am hoping the fairing will still work out, let you know when I get there.

I'm also wondering about that... plus my lightbar might look outta place as well.  A picture or two of the 6 degree TT w/full windshield & lightbar would be helpful.

I have 2 trikes both are raked with 4*...
The windscreens are affected by the rake kits..

OK...  Just talked to Daryl (recall, I know you two have been in touch), but thought I'd answer a few of the questions, with answers from Daryl, for anyone else that may be interested...

A Honda OEM wind screen, will bolt up to the XF6 6* tree, just as it would on the OEM tree (all OEM mounting holes/locations, are duplicated on the XF6 6* tree).  The wind screen may lay back 'a bit' as compaired to OEM configuration, but not too much.  The headlight will point 6* higher, and can be readjusted by bending the OEM headlight bracket down, to compensate for the 6*.  Daryl told me that as early as next week, he will be producing a headlight mounting bracket, with the 6* compensation built right in (Remove OEM bracket from the headlight bucket and tree, and replace with the new XF6 bracket), to make the headlight 'aim' just as it was with the OEM tree.

As for the Memphis shades windshields/fairings, they will be affected by the 6* rake a bit more than the Honda OEM windshield (will lay back at the 6* angle), as these are mounted directly to the forks, with the 6* rake (OEM screen hardware mounts to holes drilled in the triple tree, which maintains a mounting location very close to OEM).

As for lightbars, if they mount to the triple tree, using holes drilled in the HONDA OEM tree, they may need a 'small' downward adjustment.  If the light bar mounts on the forks, like Cobra or RIVCO, the lights will need to compensate downward for the 6* rake, now in the forks.

As many of his customers know, Daryl is always available to answer questions from his customers.  He is the designer, fabricator, quality control, and shipper...  If you have any questions or concerns, go to http://www.xf6-custom.com/valkpartspage.html , or http://www.vtx-treme.com/ ...  His number is listed on both sites, it is his cell phone, and he answers...  If you do end up leaving a message, he will call you back.

Did a 6 degree over the winter on my interstate trike...BIG BIG diference in windshield angle, Hopefully there is enough room to put a spacer to bring back closer to original position.
