Thanks Lori!  You totally rock!!!!!  Before I leave out for Africa tomorrow and no longer have access to my picture hosting site, I wanted to thank you (and your crew) again for your awesome, awesome job at feeding some ol' biker dudes and dudettes at Cheaha.

Folks, that was not a catered meal nor did it come from prepackaged bags or something.  Lori was in the background all day on Saturday making sure we had a bodacious spread laid out for us when everyone arrived back on Saturday evening for the festivities up on top of the mountain.  All we had to do was arrive and EAT!  It was invisible to the majority of the crowd - they just had to show up.

While others were grooving on the great rides that Redvalk had lined up (as he does every year - and again, we don't see all the planning, preparation and pre ride scouting that is done long before we actually arrive), Lori and gang was working all day getting stuff ready for our feast on Saturday evening.  Riders didn't see the hand cutting of vegetables or anything - like I said, this was not prepackaged stuff.  Everything that went into the meal was fresh.

All of the colors that went into the Hawaiian food groove was done by hand.  Peppers and stuff for the salsa, the cilantro, the jalapeƱo peppers, everything was done by hand.  The coconut for the rice was hand layered in pans and cooked in the oven. Everything was fresh and made from scratch.  No fast food catering here folks.....

The pork was prepared, seasoned and cooked in the oven for HOURS.........

When it was finally so tender that it fell off the bone, all of the pork butts were hand fork pulled - like I said, no fast food here.....

Cakes were made from scratch - no mixes and cooked right there on top of the mountain.  There was even a group that made an egg run down the mountain to make sure everything was ready.

So, while the rest of us were passing a very large time, Lori was back making sure that we would have a SPECIAL treat for dinner that night.  All we had to do was show up and fix our plates....

And have a MAJOR FOOD GROOVE on what came out of that kitchen.....

Again, I just wanted to thank a LADY again for all the hard work she did to provide us with a second to none, home done, AWESOME food fest.

Thanks Motomama!  You rock!!!!!!  And ummmm, the food was MAJOR MULIABO!!!!  A lot of folks don't know how hard you worked getting such a feast out like you did and on time.

Your effort was much appreciated by all those who left the mountain doing the HAPPY BELLY DANCE!

And the lady still looks beautiful after cooking for us all day......

I agree fully with you Strider in thanking Lori "Motomama" for fixing an awesome meal(s) for us this past weekend.  Thank you Strider for posting the pictures and for the laughs while working in the kitchen this past weekend.  I enjoyed working with ya'll.  Be safe in your travel back to Africa and come back to the states soon.  I'm also waiting on that cookbook Motomama keeps talking about.  lol

The pineapple upside down cake was as good as what my Mama used to make!

Strider, you are much too kind, but thank you for the kind words!  I appreciated your help, as well as Early Bird and Anita!  You were all awsome, and are so appreciated!  It couldn't have been as successful without your help!  And thanks to Lyn-del and Wizard for making the egg run and to Sherrie and Phyllis for purchasing the groceries and bringing them up top!  And thanks to the entire crew that took care of the clean-up!  And thanks to Tim for organizing this event!

I enjoyed doing the cooking, as it is something I love to do.  And to see the smiles on all of the faces as they dish up their plates and eat, makes it all worth it!

I am looking forward to seeing you all again, and Strider, take care of yourself and I hope to meet up with you again next time you are back in the country!

Hey...I have an idea...let's do this again next year!  cooldude  Shocked
