I have a 2001 Interstate and the RH front signal light stem is loose.  Has anyone found an "easy" way to tighten this.  I thought about a split box end wrench ( to slip over wire connections).  What size is the nut?  Thanks in advance.

It only takes about 10 minutes to pull the fairing off (once you've done it a few times), then you can get to it easily.  My hands are too big to try to get up in there, and it would take longer if I tried.

I have the same problem on the left side...there is no easy way without removing the fairing...I am thinking of adding a spring and washer to keep constant pressure and leave it loose.

If you look inside the fairing with the front end turned to the lock you can see the 10mm bolt that is probably your problem.

The fairing pivots on those turn signal when you remove other bolts and attachments.

They are rubber shock mounted so a certain amount of movement is expected.

Go look and you'll see what I am referring to!

D is right.  You cannot get it tight.  It will wiggle some.  Now, it should not flop around either.  Not sure what situation you have?

Yep, one of mine was floppy.  There is a bolt (#14 in the parts drawing) that is the culprit.  It secures the stem to the L-Bracket.  The other end of the L-Bracket is secured by the 10mm nut mentioned earlier.  Easy fix once the fairing is off.

One of mine is floppy (RH).  Can a significant other with a small hand reach the nut w/o removing fairing?  I will check it out this weekend.  Thanks

"just remove spearker cover on fairing reach in and tighten"

Why didn't I think of that, Roadrunner?  Thanks!
