I may never hit the lottery for millions of dollars,  but I consider myself a pretty lucky and blessed  guy when it comes to kids.  I have 2 boys - a 19 yo attending Drexel Univ doing well and working for the Philadelphia Phillies during this 6 month term of co-op.  He has also found the pleasure in helping others.  He is in charge of community service for his fraternity...  scheduling members to work at food banks, inner-city clean up projects and organizing fundraising events.   My younger son is about to turn 18 and graduate from high school.  He will also be attending Drexel Univ with the plan to become a doctor.  He has spent much of his high school years doing volunteer work and community service.  He works with children that are developmentally or physically challenged and helps them ride horses every Saturday along with mentoring kids who have parent(s) in prison.   I could go on and on,  but lets just say I really do know how lucky I am.

Anyway,  here is a pic of my youngest ready to leave for the senior prom last night...   He doesn't have his moto license yet,  so he didn't take the Valk....  there,  now it's Valk related.

Yes you are.
But it's because of your parenting skills. There's no luck involved there.  cooldude

Good going dad. You must be an origional resident when farms were in the area. Calling your town by the proper name (Sewell). Not Washington Twp, nor just TWP. BTW didn't some of the citizens want do change the name of the community to just TWP?

Did you spitshine the Valk for the occasion or is it always purdy. coolsmiley

Yes, children are molded by example and encouragement from early childhood even though each has their own mind and may be different as day and night.  They still refer back to a strong influence (good parents) when making most of their decisions in life.  Congratulations!...JTL  Smiley Smiley

RiderNJ,

Sounds like the apple didn't fall far from the tree... something that your proud of. Glad for you, it's hard now days to get them raised with out them going down the wrong road.

I know where your coming from. I have never felt so proud as when my kids graduated from school each with their own accomplishments.

Here's to our kids cooldude cooldude

I appreciate all the kind words...   I will admit that I certainly tried to do my part,  especially after a rough divorce from their mother when they were @ 4 and 6,  but I certainly wasn't the only influence.  We still at least tried to remain civil with the kids involved and live @ 2 miles apart.    Most of the time being there to encourage them, coach sports, late night homework  and then the occasional kick in the seat of the pants.  They've had to deal with alot,  but much less than many others.
It just feels great to be able to share happy and proud moments with you folks here....
