While in the field one night on Army maneuvers, my husband, Francisco, came under fire by “opposing” forces.  Fortunately, he was using night-vision goggles.  Crawling low through the woods, Francisco followed another soldier who was making time as he moved through the bushes.   My husband drew closer to his unusually speedy comrade just in time to realize he was not a soldier at all.  Francisco had been trying to keep pace with a porcupine.
