We don't have a chance...  Ride like THEY are out to kill you, because they are.

If we could get them all together in one city, they'd wipe themselves out in no time....sad...Stay Alert everyone...continue to watch behind you too while at intersections!!!

Been several fatalities in Dothan recently for the exact same thing. An aquaintance, Bobby Smith was killed the same way a few weeks ago. Too many bike wrecks the same way.

It has almost gotten to the point I will not ride straight through a controlled intersection.

I have been turning right, going up a block turning left and going a block, turn left and then a right at the next corner.....

I was following my son on his chopper about a month ago in the Trike.   We had one run between us in the intersection, and then a firkin rookie cop almost took me out trying to get him in his sights......

That was one time I followed a Black and White and chewed some ass........

He was going to arrest me, I told him to get his Captain out there before I did something that would warrant my arrest.    Captain asked him if he wrote the car up that ran the light.  He said Yes, and I asked this gentleman to set in his vehicle. Captain told him to proceed on downtown to the station.   Knowing our Police Chief, I'd bet $$$$ that she gave him a desk job for a few days.     Cause, he did not follow protocol.  AND she is by the book and only the book.

Over the years driving emergency vehicles I have developed the habit of slowing and covering the brake at all intersections, they are the most dangerous part of my job.

Too bad they didn't have the RED light cameras at the intersections.  That surely would have stopped all those accidents!   Cheesy

Oh, sorry, my bad.....the cameras are just to collect revenue, not stop accidents.
