starter seizure

WTF Happened ?????????
I went to start the Valk today. Hit the starter and all I got was a click. Not a problem I can bump start it. Put it in second gear a little drift popped the clutch and the back tire did not turn. OK. Try third gear. A little drift and the same thing. the back tire would not turn. Now I am out of driveway. Tried the starter again just a click. I tried rocking the bike back and forth but nothing. It was like the whole drive line was locked up. I needed a tow back up the driveway so I could execute plan "B". While I waited I used the bikes transmission to hold me in place. I thought I felt the bike move. Pulled in the clutch and she fire right up. Is there a doctor in the house? Do I need Obama care? HELP ME.

Whip out the spark plugs... I hope one of the cylinders isn't full of gas...

Possible hydrolock. BE SURE it is not that, as can get expensive!

By "fired right up" do you mean it started via the starter? If it is now running, I would check the oil for the smell of gasoline and thin oil!
You may have dodged a bullet with the attempted push start and managed to move fuel from a failing petcock into the lower end of the motor. There's lots of information on failed and failing stock petcocks in multiple threads on the board.
If it is not running, pulling the plugs before taking any further action is a really good plan!
Best-O-luck to ya!

Did it 'click' or 'CLUNK' ?? Could very well make a big difference.. If it was a 'click' then it sounds like the starter switch needs cleaning and maybe you just weren't heavy enough to let rear wheel turn.. If it went 'CLUNK' then the sparklers should be removed and the cylinders cleared before attempting a restart.. Which ever cylinder throws fuel across the garage will let you know which carburetor needs repair..
