I got a 97 valkyrie from my dad about a week ago. it has 23000 miles on it and runs perfect. last night somebody pushed it over on its right side. no damage cause it has guards, but i started it and the right exhaust is smoking white. any ideas. it was on its side for a couple hours

Just a guess, but I'd say maybe some oil got into the right side
cylinders from laying on it's side that long. Should clear up after
it runs a while. Not an expert mechanic by any means...just my thoughts!!

P.S. Hope you catch whoever did it!! Angry

thats good news even though your not a real mechanic. i kow about cars a little but not an expert on these sideways motors. i thought it might have been worse so i just turned it off. i guess i should just take it for a spin and see whats happens? And yes if i find out who it is it will be ugly tickedoff

High winds at Cheaha knocked over one rider's Valkyrie overnight - he'd put a motorcycle cover on it,
and the cover acted like a sail...

I hate the thought that some vandal intentionally knocked your Valk over, it would be nice if there
was some other explanation...

Ya at first i thought maybe wind, but the gusts last night were only 5 mph. Seems to be a heavy bike to fall on its right side. I live at a college apartment complex and it happened after 2 and before 10 in the am. Just makes no sense Angry

Ride it.  I do not think anything is wrong.  If it keeps up after several miles, then maybe a problem.

i think white usually means oil as previously stated. Ride it as mentioned to burn any oil out of your cylinders. If it persists could be a symptom of a bad head or head gasket.
