Good fun and suprising how many Mums were at the movie on Mother's Day.

Wait for ALL the credits to roll at the end for a teaser for Part III

I'll go see it...I've been worried about it just because I've not seen one commercial about the movie...they've all been commercials for cars/etc that are in the movie...even burger king with stuff from the movie...but nothing about the movie.

Actually, I believe the teaser for the related Thor movie that will also be a tie in to the upcoming Avengers movie. However, I could be wrong. And hopefully Thor will be more than a consultant in the Avengers movie (which is upcoming...eventually).

Did you catch the not so subtle Captain America prop placement? Funny.

I have to disagree with the 1 3/4 thumbs up. This movie had a decent story line that was accessible and easy to follow, with some personal drama, and some serious explosions. It did not conform to any one occurance of the Iron Avenger, however it did stay fairly true to the character and especially consistent with the first movie.

The new Rhodes (one of the only characters not to return to their roles) did a nice job.

My brother picked that the final boss battle seemed quick, although it did seem logical. I somewhat agree, although the battle to the final boss (whiplash/Ivan) was nice.

I'm not a huge fan of the Marvel Ultimates black Nick Fury, because I like the original better, however, in this case I felt Sam Jackson did a great job.

So why did I disagree with 1 3/4 thumbs if I'm praising it this much? Because I think it warrants an entire fist of thumbs! Great super-movie.

With the opening and international box office numbers that IM2 just posted...it is safe to say that a 3rd one is in the works. If it wasn't last week it will be by next week.

Good point.

Go see it anyway.

Go see it quick and you can get a free comic book courtesy of Target. Much like 80s cartoons, they are using these Marvel movies to push merchandise more than DVDs.

You are right, I said "that Avengers movie (meaning Thor) because I didn't want to give it away to the people whom haven't seen it yet, Thor is scheduled to be released on May 6, 2011, Captain America: The First Avenger is scheduled for release on July 22, 2011. and the The Avengers on May 4, 2012.

Maybe when they start merchandising for Cap and Avenger movies they'll finally release the old Captain America on DVD. It was at least as good as the Bill Bixby Hulk meets Thor movie they made for TV about the same time (which is currently on DVD).

Sorry for the spoiler. My bad. You gotta warn a geek sometimes.  coolsmiley
