We are heading back east to the Smokies for Memorial Day Weekend, and we need to buy some rain gear for the trip. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have a pair of Road Toggs (by Frogg Toggs) and a set of Rain Gaiters.  Got the Toggs at Cabela's.  The rain gaiters from a hiking store in town.

I put the gaiters on over the rain suit to keep water from entering my boots and to keep the toggs off my pipes.

I have good boots, but they get squishy eventually... wet feet and hands and mostly dry elsewhere wears me down after a while...

Frogg Toggs...  Pack small, and work very well.

When on a road trip, I wear Tour Master riding gear so I don't really need to pull over and put anything extra on. For my daily ride to work, weekend rides, etc. I have a Tour Master rain jacket, rain pants and gators. I put the gators on first which makes it easer to pull the pants on. Not sure of the brand of my rain gloves but they are guantlets and I usually wear glove liners since I sweat a ton when I have them on (helps to pull the rain gloves on and off). My boots are Herman's Survivors which you can but at your local Wal-Mart.

Frog Toggs and OR Rocky Mountain High Gaiters.  I have a Cortech Water Proof Fleece hoodie on order for the last four months too.

I use wal-marts selection of rain gear in the hunting isle. Cheap and folds up well. No problems with it flapping in the wind at 80 mph. Its on its 3rd year. Its about $40 for a set. My HD bud has a set of yellow gear. We call him the Gordons Fisherman when he wears it!  Grin Like most rain gear I've had. Your clothes get damp.

I don't care, as long as it's not cold, the air wings block a lot of rain.  Hoser

..I was using...Imitation Frogg Toggs from Sam,s Club.....25 bucks....worked great until our latest road trip...they eventually begn to let water in around the neck and ...up the legs....but to be fair...it was FRIGGIN POURINGGGG !!! ..  Evil

...I think any good rain suit is going to eventually "leak"...if you ride in a ....hard enough rain... long enough....

....as for my boots...didnt have nothing...and they were soaked !!. ..gonna definitely get me a good pair of Gaiters to pack along with the rain suit...

....like I said...for 25 bucks the Imitation Frogg Toggs from Sams Club....work very well....didnt help much when I got struck by lighting though..  Cool

Tourmaster Sentinal pants and jacket. With a 3/4 helmet, I also wear motocross goggles and a Bandito face cover.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I was thinking the Frogg Toggs, but now we are thinking about getting the tourmaster jackets since we don't have any riding jackets.
