Not sure how to inbed a utube video but here is the link
Anyway, this is about an RC B29 made by a company called Byron Originals in Ida Grove Iowa. They don't make RC aircraft anymore since Byron Godberson died.
The company at the time even blended and sold their own fuel.
The B29, as you will hear on the video, weighed in at a takeoff wgt. of 400 lbs, had a wing span of 29 feet and a length of 20 feet.
In the company's heyday they sponsored a huge RC airshow. Flying superman, lawnmowers, RC parachute guys, even had the Blue Angels one year. Thiis was all held in Byrons back yard. Now Byron's back yard was pretty big as there was the 300' concrete RC runway, enough room for the 5000 people there for the show, 2-1/5 scale Aircraft carriers and the "ocean" with PT boats zipping around (for the show with awesome pyrotechnics) PLUS all the pilots and there planes. Most being 1/5th scale, so these are really large, highly detailed RC aircraft.
Awesome show. B29 was an awesome airplane.
Good times
