I have read over the years of the rebuild kit available for the stock petcock. I've contacted the local Honda shop here in Australia who tell me there isn't one, and I have to buy the complete petcock assembly.

Can anybody give me the part number for the rebuild kit and the US supplier. I've checked on the Directline site and don't seem to be able to find the kit listed.

Any help appreciated and will be repaid in beer if you're down this way.. Cool

Most stealerships do not seem to know about the kit.  Honda cleverly hides it under the name "Cover Set".

During my recent air filter replacement adventure, I noticed the gasoline did not stop slowly dribbling from the petcock even with the fuel valve off.  After reading a little more I now realize that's not normal uglystupid2.  So, next project is to try and rebuild the petcock, which seems simple, but I want to order the kit before I start taking stuff apart.  I checked Honda Direct Line and searching for this part number gives no results.  They do show a K & L petcock repair kit for $17.99, but no picture or details to show what's included in the kit.  Anyone have any idea what's in the K & L kit?  Does it have everything I'd need?  Or does anyone know where else I can get the OEM repair kit from Honda?

Whoops.... never mind.  Found the OEM cover set and screen set at powersportsnetwork.com, $46.42 total including shipping.

Nothing to see here... move along....

That's just for the "cover set".  I also ordered the filter screen.
