I assume you are talking about the 1" inserts from GenMar. Taking all the angles into account, they will move your bars back about 7/8" and up about 5/8". I have used these for several years--the little adjustment made a big difference in shoulder comfort.

Hi...I just bought a set of the ones on E-Bay for my 99 I/S..Easy install and fit was perfect.  They moved the bars back just right for me.  I felt like if I moved the bars down so they were close enough, they were too low.  If I moved them up for comfort and control, it was too far of a reach and on long rides my shoulders would start hurting.  After installing these, I got the bars adjusted just right.  Anyway, it was a great addition and a 10 mins install..

I was waiting for someone who had already installed these to give their opinion.  coolsmiley I've been watching them on Ebay for quite some time, so,,,, due to the favorable reports, I just bought them! They're a hell of a lot cheaper than the other risers out there and if they do the trick regarding a bit more comfort,,, all the better!  cooldude

Will do! The seller notified me that they are in the mail as of this afternoon. I'll post again after they've been installed!
