EVER!!!

I spent Sunday morning in the office filling out my expense report for my trip to Holland.  Well, they had rented me that little Ford Fiesta hatchback while I was there and let me drive it from Emmen back to Amsterdam.  It was nice and cool so I rode with a crack in the window (no AC) and it was a standard.  The little car got good gas mileage and all.  On the way to Amsterdam, I filled the little tank up and BOY HOWDY!!!!

When I was doing my expenses today, the gas was 32.83 litres at a cost of 1.569 Euro per litre for a total of 51.51 Euro to fill the little tank (with 1/4 of the tank still left).  Doing the conversions today....ready....

That is $70.88 for 7.2226 gallons of REGULAR gas.....

That equals $9.814 PER GALLON!

That means it would cost me, what $55 to fill the Valk?!?

I will never complain about gas prices again.........WOW!

Well, that is how they pay for "free" health care.
I would rather pay for the health care!

well......we have no energy policy.....gas was a 165 just over a year ago over 3.00 here now, and we just had a mysterious accident within days of Mr president signing that executive order to drill.....what a coincidence...but it's not his fault Again just a excuse to not have to ever make the USA oil independent....i am sure it is just my imagination  Grin   http://www.pbn.com/detail/49591.html

Since the Gulf accident, gas has fallen 30 cents/gallon here in Arkansas.  Apparently, there is plenty of oil without it for now.  However, it has been proven time and again that speculators control the price more than availability.
The Euro has fallen on hard times lately.  It will be interesting to see how they pull themselves out of it.  Some countries have already discussed dumping the Euro currency as being to hard to control.

Just wait a while Strider the Present Regime, will fight tooth and nail for Cap and Trade and we will

be in the same boat.

Europe already has cap and trade and you see what you paid the other day.

People better wake up and vote these BOZOS out or no more bike rallies and then no more

United States as we know it.

I am with Al here.  We need to drill.  We need to build Nuke plants.  We need to explore true geo-thermal electrical generation.

That's what we need to be doing with the "stimu-pork" dollars rather than just doling it out for dumb stuff like now.

We need to switch to hydrogen, once we have cheap, safe, nuclear powered electricity.  Then we can see how well the oil nations do trying to eat their oil.
