Think I will stick with the heat and Haboob's (dust storm's) in Arizona. Shocked
No doubt, they will need a new roof and all the cars that were outside will need repair....

My understanding is that our friends were out in the OKC hail and that Scott suffered significant damage to one of his vehicles.   Undecided

That's an experience I don't want to have.   Shocked

You should seach youtube for the Sturgis hailstorm from last year. Sent a few hundred to the hospital.

It was quite the experience to say the least.  Broke the windshield in my truck, and we'll probably be getting a new roof.  We were luckier than most however.  Most people lost all the north facing windows in their home.

If you watched the TV series about the Full Throttle Saloon, you saw the hail storm.  Pretty nasty.
One guy layed across his bike and had welts on his back.  Thats what insurance is for.

Yea I saw that. Glad we left when we did. Valkhound had his bike out in it but appears fine.

You getting ready? Only 2 months and some change. We got our camp paid and passes for Da Bus are also made. Whats the dates you headed out and back? i'll see if they over lap ours.

Yeah, hail pretty much sucks. I had stitches inside my nose after my last serious hail encounter.

Fudgie,

We are leaving at the end of July and heading back the Friday that it starts.  Looking forward to
it.  Lizzie says she is looking forward to it as well.  Going with 5 other couples.

Wow what a group. We should have another Valk with us, the others backed out already.
We are leaving Winner SD that Friday morning and should be at camp after lunch. If we pass up all the 'coldest beer in the Badlands' signs in Interior and Scenic!  crazy2 If you all are passing thru there let me know. i'm sure you or us will stop for gas along that route. I still got your number, if its -1199. See ya then if not before.

Yep, that's my number and I still have yours in my phone.  Will give you a call on that Thursday
night.  That Friday we will be heading from Hill City to Wagner, so we may indeed cross paths again.

Thats really somethin. Glad you got through it. Those look like big chunks of global warming.
I got outta the car once when I was 18 stationed in New Mexico and had never seen hail bigger than a pea. My friend from Texas, who had, laughed his head off as I scrambled under the car. I can still hear him laughing uproariously and remember vividly the car bouncing with every guffaw.
