Real story.  Our medical company in Korea actually had three GIs brought in with critical wounds. They had found a 'pineapple' grenade, they were gathered 'round looking at it.  One pulled the pin, lost his grip, and it went off immediately, no delay. It was just after the Truce, what a waste!

Hey now!  I was in the Air Force.  LOL, no way would they let us near a grenade.  Got to play with guns once a year at the range if that much.
