I like them, stick like glue...especially in wet conditions. Had three....got over 12k on the first one and changed it when I changed the front Metz...which is still on there at over 16k. The next two both were ruined by road debris at less than 10k on each so went with a car tire due to the expense. Some swear by them, others swear at them...say they always get poor mileage. They are a softer compound but the 200 will give longer service, run about 42 psi in it. I've found a lot of the naysayers of the Metz were using the stock 180 size, but the 200 will give better service.

Just my 2 cents.

I would do it as a precaution. If you have saddlebags, you could cut off the nut cage and pick up some carriage bolts the same size and a bit longer. Then run them from the inside of the fender outward. For the front bolt you just pickup a longer bolt and cut the head off or use threaded rod. Then use a couple nuts as spacers, mount the saddlebags, and use a single nut on the outside. Then whenever you have to pull the bags, you don't have to remove the fender bolts, just the nuts.

I have a 200 metz on my STD now and do not believe it will make 5000 miles, starting to cup and wear funny 4000 miles at 44 psi recomended, Next one won't be a metz. Still can not figure out how you guys get 10,000 miles out of a MC tire. My I/S is wearing a car tire because of this and at 18,000 still looks good. I'm not suggesting a CT to anyone, just a statement!
