Well, more jobs are going to mexico!  Polaris, the makers of Victory motorcycles, and Polaris snowmobiles, just announced that they will be moving their production to mexico!!

Just Wednesday our company president announced that if obama and congress pass the upcoming environmental regulations and osha regulations that we too will be moving to mexico!!!

So, from others experiences, do you take the severance package, or do you jump ship and find another job elsewhere?

This really sucks ‘cause I finally found a job I really enjoy, and I’m actually good at!!

Better start learning Spanish, Alph.   Sad

Sorry to hear that.  Hopefully it will not happen.  The best to you, and good luck.

At least it doesn't have anything to do with them being able to pay Mexicans 1/4 your pay with no FICA.

I'm sure, like they said, it's only because they can don't have to worry about worker safety or pollution regulations in Mexico.

i've only been there for two years.  i'm in electrical/maintenance department, do some light PLC programming (nothing hard), and get the machines running again when ever anything shuts them down.  the job market around here is not very good, unless you want to be a waiter, or janitor for the school systems, and to get those jobs you better know someone!!

scanner; it's mainly because of government regulations that their looking at moving.  i don't understand why our government hates jobs?  who's going to pay for all their big socialist programs when people like me are looking for a job?

All is not lost Alph.  According to Pelosi, you can go ahead and quit your job and at least still have health care paid for by the rest of us.  That right there ought to be at least some peace of mind.   Sad    Can't speak for the rest on here, but since you're a Valk rider, I don't mind chipping in a little extra tax for YOUR health ins.

It looks like we may ALL have to be learning Spanglish before long.

Now, 'andale, 'andale, Eee haw!  (from the old Speedy Gonzales cartoons)  Go ride that VAlk.  And grassyyourazz or something or other.

Hopefully, it will all work out to your advantage in the end.   cooldude

Man I almost bought a Victory as a second bike, no more even thinking about it.
Honda do still manufacture in Marysville USA, is this right
Then we have Harley Davidson and Boss Hoss.
Any other major motorcycle manufacturers in the USA?

Sorry, Honda quit making them in Marysville.  Took the operation back to Japan last year I think

As I understand it, the Goldwings have moved back to Japan, they are going to make cars in the Marysville plant.  However, on the GW boards, it sounds like Honda is NOT making a Goldwing this year.  They are going to skip a year with no production.  Lots of speculation if they are bringing out a new model, or not.

The guy I bought my IS from a month ago was claiming that Honda is going to produce a new GL with an automatic tranny. I have no idea where he heard this...

The problem is they know what they are doing.

Whittling away at the USA.

They want to be comfortable the elite that is and tell us how to live our lives.

They know best in thier minds.

It will keep us the US weak and out of foriegn affairs.

The writing is on the WALL.

No US meddling in affiars of other Govenrments, they don't want to stand up for Liberty anymore.

So if they weaken the US they gain more control over what we can and cannot do.

It is a GRAND SCHEME we are looking at.

Your only paronoid if they are really out to get the MIDDLE CLASS and make one class the lower class

dependant on the Government for everything so you have to vote their way or else.

Dems have always used this kind of leverage to maintain thier power base.

It's fairly easy to see, we are seeing it now.

Sorry Alph about your job , but the despareging words will not help your situation I have just spouted.

But WE can vote and get this thing turned around.

Manufacturing is the base for all Middle Class Existance.

When it goes we go.

Big AL . I was layed off 7 times in ten years ,that has to be a record for a non-construction type job.

40% of Harley is outsourced but they use the best Japanese Parts they can find.

It may become the new Honda before long.

Showa Forks.

Showa rear Shocks.

Farmed out electronics.

Frame fabbed here but is manufactured, the steel that is, somehwere else.

Porsche made the VROD ENGINE to begin with.

AND ALL I REPEAT ALL OF THE CLOTHES AND HELMETS AND BOOTS AND GLOVES AND JACKETS

ANY THING YOU TOUCH IN THE CLOTHES BOUTIQUE IS Chinese.

Chinese, Communist, Ungodly, Slave labor in a lot of cases, no human rights to speak of.

What a country to do business with.

We owe our damn souls to the Company Store ,,,,,,,,,,China.

What a mess.

Porsche made the VROD ENGINE to begin with.

Porsche only helped make the Harley designed VR 1000 racing engine streetable.  A history is online here:
