I'm a little confused here.

I have the CCS-100 cruise, rigged with a vacuum res. and pulling vacuum from 5 cylinders using 1 way valves.

My main line coming from the vacuum res to the actuator runs down and then back up to plug into it.
My cruise stopped working some time ago, and I was about to replace the main actuator since everything else has checked out fine.

Low and behold when I disconnected the line and dropped it down to pull out, at least 2Tbs of oil came out.  This is NOT WATER, but nice light brown OIL.  Enough to fill the length of tube for 4 to 6 inches.

I have a "T" that I had used to check vacuum during the troubleshooting process and I have good vacuum.  What gives?

I've done a carb sync with clear hoses once . It's Normal.  When running fuel and air will lightly pulse about 4-6" into the line. It's the same naturally occurring crud that will leak past failing intake o-rings onto the head. Nothing to worry about.

It did however foul my McCruise check-valve that was only 4" from the intake. I replaced the check valve and moved it down line about 8".

I hooked mine up to the two front intakes only with a tee.     NO reservoir.  Check valve in each line about 3" from each intake. Before the tee.

Works great! I wonder why originally they used five intakes, and a reservoir, when two intakes and NO reservoir works fine?

Now, you have me worried that the check valves will crud up!

Thanks guys, I have check valves VERY close to the intakes.  made for a clean installation, but i may rethink that now.

In the meantime, I have moved my T closer to the res. and hooked a sealed drain straight off the bottom.  I can open 'er up and drain it from time to time, much like the air box drain.

I also rigged an arm to facilitate the carburetors CAM action to hook to the cruise.  Should reduce the force needed by half or more.  Hopefully will add to the longevity of the unit.
