Mayors Ride, New Haven

Wow! I just signed up at 10am and donated 10 bucks to the Vets Memorial. Already it looks like there's over 100 bikes, about 90 % Harleys (at least).

I won't be riding the ride, I don't like the noise and I have no idea how many are new to motorcycling. I trusted the riders in the CBR but not these.  Oh well, the Cause is good!

Wayne, run clean up on those type rides.    That is what I do and it keeps them off my ass and I just look in the mirrors for cages, instead of Barney Oldfield, and or Evil Kenevel types........      Actually it is more fun back there.......

I didn't ride in it RJ but you know me.  I always rode in the back on the CBR.

By the way, the turnout was good.  Here's a pic of the group riding on I469.  I took this pic from an overpass, worked out well.

Been on these group rides, toy runs, 911 memorial runs, and others.

The police are usually stopping up all the cracks and keep the cages at bay.

No close calls, no wrecks so far.

We had a Chopper shadowing us for most of the toy run and 911 ride out of Knoxville , Tennessee.

That's impressive when the Chopper(HELICOPTER) hovers 20 feet off the ground several times during the ride.

A lot of people avoid the herds so to speak and personally you are probably right to do so.

But I am a Ham and want in on the crowd thing.

Kit and I just got back home from it. 100 miles for us today. It was a good turnout. Saw solo1 and chatted briefly. He said somewhere about 185 bikes. We each got burnt. Supported their cause, the softball team, spent money downtown, and spent money in Waynedale at a local tattoo parlor. Not for me tho, Kit got more ink.
Talking to a guy that said theres a guy that should not be allowed to ride in a group any more. Him and his girl, each on a rocket, was all over the road playing around.
