I have run the Batteries Plus battery in my last two bikes.  The one on the Valk is about 4-5 years old...I have run it down to past dead and it has come back charging from the alternator.  Price is a bit more reasonable than the stock unit.

Stick with Yuasa. The YTX14-BS is an OEM battery. The best price I've heard of is here: http://www.tristatebattery.com/product_info.php?cPath=36_96_112&products_id=732
If you want a bit more power go with the YTX14H-BS, it's the same dimensions but more amp hours. This outfit has them at a good price:

Yep. Bought a new one Saturday. Old generic that was there when I bought it died in the heat of the day. Hondas dealer 2 miles away, 107 dollars and 1 hour later I was back on the road.
(I know, I should have replaced it when I bought the bike..)

Did the alternator charging test as per the manual when I got home, so I verified battery death.

I see the cold cranking amps (cca) on the YTX14-BS is 200.

Does anyone know what it is on the YTX14H-BS?
