As many of you know I started posting 2 weeks ago about Craig's nephew and the accident he had.
Michael was 24 yrs and was a wonderful young man with his whole life ahead of him. Michael fell 2 weeks ago today and landed on the back of his head. His head injury was very bad but he developed lung complications and the Drs at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis tried everything possible but everyday he got worse. Craig and I traveled to St Louis the last 2 weekends. While on the road Friday we received word that they were bagging him and it was bad, by the time we got there he was given 24 hours. After consulting with the family and explaining that because of the lung issue he had been deprieved of oxegen and he would be a vegetable the rest of his life. Michael would not have wanted to live like that so with a very heavy heart he was taken off life support at 4pm Saturday afternoon and he passed at 4:05pm with all his loved ones around. Michael received his law degree while in the hospital and was ready to conquer the world. Michael fought hard but his body was just to weak.I knew when Carolyn Schmidt and I posted about Michael the outpouring of love from the VRCC would be great and the family was just overwhelmed. When Steve passed you held me up and I knew you would do the same for them. Please continue to pray for Michael's parents James and Lori and their 2 other childern Margaret and Mark. Craig and I will be traveling this week to attend the funeral so please pray for safe travel.

Rhonda, all the prayers I can muster are in the process of being forwarded to you, Noah, Craig, and all of Micheal's family....

Have safe travels to the funeral and back home.............

Craig's appointments can be changed to accomodate your travel needs if the office staff hasn't already did it.......

Prayers from NE Indiana.  Sometimes the best medical care is not enough. I think about that every day.

My wife and I have no children, so I can't say I can fathom the grief involved here.

But my Thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Who can search the mind of the Lord.

Who can understand the Why's and the things that happen.

Only he can.

God Bless you all.

Rhonda,You are an incredibly strong soul. Share your strength in their time of need and count on all of our support as well. Some times we dont understand the grand plan or why terrible things happen, but the strength and support you bring is ,with out a doubt, there for some reason that is not yet understood.  He works in mysterious ways  Cry
