Got to Lacrosse Thurs after Roberta got done work & 4 fast poker stops, sat in a safety meet. an meet a lot of great people, another poker stop an to the motel at 10:30. Up at 4 to get to the lineup at the campus at 5. And we're off in 2 groups of over 400 bikes each. In the 1st 25m we had 2 bikes crash togather up front of us. We had 2 HD pretty boys that were bound and determined to ride side by side and could"t keep up , It seemed like the wanted to start their own group so I said f it an passed them then in a bit a winger was behind me an then I think the whole group passed them. Taking an off ramp we had to come to a stop and we had some dum aaa come up between me an the guy across from me an I jumped him right of the bat so it would soak into his brains to use the breaks or wake the F up before he runs someone over.  Rained all the way to Appleton were we met the other bikers up from Milw. to make up the complament of 1244 MIA/KIA form Wi. during the Vietnam War.Appleton to Green bay people were lined up all cheering us on . Going by 3 schools all the kids were out an you should of heard them when I gave em the horn - they just went wild. close to 450M. for us Fri. as We had to return home to pick up the son to go to back over to Oshkosh for the grandson's birthday. God am I gettin old er somebody standing on my tail, I feel like dog meat. Slept a wink an in the afternoon I took my son up to greenbay for the mainevent at the LZ. Met a guy that was at the same base as me the same year and same first name. Accidentally bumped into one hell of a great guy in my book - Earl Banks, who was our State Commander of the VFW in 2006 And is currently The Chief of Staff of the VFW at the National level, We shared a beer  an got a pic. togather. Met a guy half way across the state and it turnes out I've known his brother for quite a few years. I bumped into The 9th District Commander of the Wi. VFW, I know him and he went to school with my brother. Talked to a lot of really good people. We all welcomed each other home. I heard more of family hardships with little on the way or just born. Things really hit home for everyone when the evening ceramony began.  Watch PBS tonight ,tues an wed 8pm wi. time for the Vietnam War Stories.    Watch Thurs PBS at 8pm for LZLambeau should be good. For you boys over in Mich. I believe I seen something that you are having a welcoming home for the Vietnam Vets next month, If you are a Vet I strongly suggest you go.

A fork in the road brought a new episode

I was there too.  A friend of mine said he saw me on TV saluting the flag during the Huey fly over.

The Missing Man ceremony put on by Rolling Thunder aways tears me up.  We just lost a co-worker in Afganastan too so its even closer to home now.
