Nice Weekend Ride

My lady and I took a nice ride this weekend. We left Mt. Vernon, IL Saturday morning and rode down to Hot Springs, AK. Spent the night there. It is really a neat place. Sunday we rode up Rt 7 which is a very scenic and a nice ride. Spent the night in Branson, Mo, took in the Jim Stafford show which was great and then Monday morning rode back home across Southern, Mo. on Rt 160 which has hundreds of sharp curves to navigate and is a blast to ride but takes a lot longer (unless you are Smokin Joe (LOL)). We got caught in a terrible storm near Van Buren, Mo. complete with heavy rain, wind, and some hail. Pulled into a service station and waited it out for about two hours then headed on home. We had a great time and as usual the Valk performed flawlessly. I love that bike and there is nothing like a good trip to get a break from the stress! Hef
