Well, I just switched to Progressive from Dairyland. Dairyland used to be cheap, but not anymore.

I went with the max on the progressive. 500,000 for liability, 500,000 for passenger, and I got the max 250/500,000 coverage on the non/underinsured motorist.

Standard for all these was 50/100,000.

It is an 2001 IS, and I added $13,000 added value. $8,000 for the sidecar and $5,000 for stuff on the IS.

Total bill: $297.00 Just did it yesterday.

My 97 std, with $5,000 accessories added, and the same high liability limits, was $182.

That sounds like a good deal.   Next time my Dairyland comes due, I'm going price comparing.

Be sure to check with an agent, not just online.  I checked online, then went to my agent.  He was quite a bit cheaper for the exact same insurance.

Dang. I have always just got it online. Thanks for the tip. BTW I have been very happy with Progressive.

I have had AAA Plus for years and it covers my bikes, including 100 miles of towing.  cooldude  I hope that I never need it.
