Has anyone mounted the Kuryakyn transformer passenger boards on their Valkyrie? If so, what type of modification is required? I checked with Kuryakyn and there was never a transformer made for the Valkyrie. Said they thought some had purchased the transformer for the Goldwing  and made it work?
I like the idea of having two positions available. My Valkyrie is a 2000 Standard.

It has been done and there are some photos somewhere in the archives. I ran some regular goldwing 1500 boards on mt I/S for a while. Mounts were very easy to fab.

The kury. transformers work very well without any mods to bike or boards.
Just come up with brackets to space them away from frame about 1" and use existing holes.
Here you can see them flipped up and the bracket under right corner.
I used a chrome spacer on the rear hole that lined up with hole on bike.

Hello to all........... I bought Goldwing transformer boards and fabricated my own brackets from steel stock purchased @ H-Depot. they work well and the wife really appreciates the multiple foot positions.

I guess I'll ask this question to Hobo and The General, Do either of you have pics or helpful hints/advice as to how to install these floorboards. When I did a search, your names came up. Others may chime in to this question. Please !

If you get on the Kury site they now have a set for the Valk. Can't remember the number, but need a anti-rotation mount on the passenger peg post to use.

Kury makes the Trans II specifically for the Valk.  Like stated before, buy the adapter seperatly and bolt them on.  Kury listed the adapter wrong but my local dealer corrected the error.  Mine mounted up in 20 minutes.

Is it possible to send me the link to the proper adapter? More than 1 on the web site. I have the transformer boards for the GL1800.

Below is what I ordered from Dennis Kirk.  The adapter they listed was wrong.  I got the correct adapter at the local Honda Dealer.

Part# 495212 Rear Splined Adapter Mount (WRONG PART NUMBER)

Part# 497042 Transformer II Passenger Floorboards

It sounds like you are trying to adapt some Goldwing specific boards by building your own adapter.  Another member sent me his design, but I decided to just order the correct boards.  Send me you address and I will forward them to you.

Gil

Added note.  The correct Kury splines that worked for my 2000 is 8818.  Bolted right on.

Just finished installing the Kuryakyn Transformer 2 passenger floorboards on my '99 I/S.  I used Kuryakyn part numbers 4380 and 8825, Dennis Kirk part numbers 49-5211 and 49-7042.  Everything fit perfectly without any fabrications or modifications.  Total cost $238.42.  They look great and the wife approves.
