The tourism and fishing industry have taken a huge hit from the oil disaster.  Now with the stroke of a pen all oil drilling rigs currently drilling in the Gulf have been shut down.  That's 33 rigs working currently.  Also all future drilling has been suspended.  I wonder how many lost jobs that will be.  That is a huge part of their economy with all the workers and support staff as well as all the other business that is ancillary to the oil industry.  For the rest of us better gas up today because the price is going to go sky high.  According to the news we (the United States) use 19,498,000 barrels of oil per day so it is easy to see that for every dollar that oil goes up it costs us 19.5 million more per day out of our pockets.  It adds up quick.
