I have not been on the board much this year. Just as I was getting over the spine infection and surgery, my new house started flooding and I have been fighting with the builder to no avail and must now enter into a lawsuit. In the midst of that my wife and kids all lost thier jobs and now my dad is dying of bladder cancer. Watching him die like this has been very hard for me and I have buried my self in work. I guess its my way of dealing with his illness and passing.
I had hoped to ride with some of you folks more this year but my lower back is now really messed up , maybe an after effect of the upper spine surgery or maybe just from all the stress.
In the midst of all this bad stuff , I continue to thank God for my family and friends and living in the USA, even with all its problems right now.
I would be thankful for any prayers you can offer for my family right now and hope to resume riding with you guys soon. ALso, John Horton, who I met thru the VRCC is having spine surgery in Vineland, NJ on June 6 or 7th. John is one of the nicest people I have ever met and that is just the simple truth. Please say a prayer for his safe recovery from his operation. If anyone knows Lloyd Dean from the VOA, he was also in the hospital with a lung problem I believe. Please offer a prayer for Lloyd also.

Thanks bg   I cherish the firends I have made thru the VRCC and am greatful for any prayers. I lost touch with my religion for so long but luckily have found God again in my life. Maybe there is a bright side to all the bad stuff

Andy we have rode together and spent some good time talking about family and this club, especially after our good friend Dan Stocker ( Cycho's)  sudden passing leaving Davida and the project trike for her in a real bind.

You and Lloyd are stand up fellows as is jrhorton and you all are in our prayers and thoughts since  you first told me you were getting the surgery and later when you told me what you now share with the board.  Sometimes life just piles the cr ap on and we can only take it and soldier on as it is.  Be strong and of good courage as you have been and we are thinking of you here in Ossining.

The good Lord will provide somewhere down the path other opportunities to ride together I am sure so just take it slow and easy and let time and your body heal naturally.

Prayers from Buffalo, NY going out for you and yours right now. I do believe the Lord has something really, really important for you to do, as the evil one is doing his best to stop you. "for I consider the sufferings of this present time not to be worthy of the glory which shall be revealed in us" Rom 8:18

Andy, thanks for all the well wishes...you're a great guy going through some tough times.  This is your "year from hell" but it's bound to turn around for you really soon.  It piles on fast but will leave just as quickly.

I'm here if there's anything you need...just call.

What can I say..the folks from the VRCC continue to be the finest group of people I ever had the pleasure to know............In spite of all the bad stuff I feel lucky because I know there are many other folks who have it worse than me. I also have a wonderful family which is something that we often take for granted but should not.
Oss I do hope to get some riding in this year. I sure miss my SUnday morning breakfast with Dan :-(
John Horton ..I dont have words to say how much I appreciate what you already did for me this year. I hope things calm down here so I can return some of your kindness. I pray your back surgery goes well. I was a great pleasure to meet Denise , she is as nice as you. I will pray for all my friends and family in this horrid economy to be safe, healthy and secure but I will say a special prayer for you since you  are a special person.... GOd Bless all of you and thanks for the prayers..keep them coming
