I can't vouch for it personally, but after hacking together building a wooden lift adapter for Janet's ACE Tourer, I found this mentioned at the Honda Shadow ACE Tourer Forum...  Has anyone here used one?

Here's the biggest potential problem I see: "Please note that the adapter will add 3" to the minimum collapsed height of your jack. "

Looks like you could custom-make one for Janet's bike using square tube, threaded rod, and angle iron.

I've got one of those (had to use it on a Kawasaki bike that I had) and I can vouch that it works.  Very heavy duty and infinitely adjustable.  I just have no use for it anymore - might evilbay it later this summer.

I could barely fit my Craftsman lift under the bike without any adapter.  Lucky for me they're building a house at the end of the street and there was plenty-o-scrap 2x10 from which to make double-thickness ramps and a triple-thickness sidestand puck!  I might go down there after dark and get enough to scab a third layer on the ramps just to be sure...   Lips Sealed

Hey Dave,

I used to run my Shadow (Spirit 1100) up on a 2x6 (front and rear) and two 2x4s (stacked) under the stand.  This would give me enough room to slide the lift under the bike and put 2x4s under the frame.  I have never used one of those adapters.  I would agree without hiking the bike up before you could use one of those adapters.

I'm part of the scrap 2X4 ilk.  To small-ish blocks on the frame just behind the engine does the trick on my wife's VT1100C Spirit.  One side is cut down a bit due to the frame not being even.  The front part of the lift rests under the engine.  Let me know and I'll send you some specs and pics if you need.

FYI, just installed the Cobra slash cut slip-ons and Stage One jet kit on the Spirit...big difference!
Should have done it sooner. Roll Eyes

I have one of those "universal adapters" that came with my Sam's Club Larin bike lift years ago.  The Jack has been long gone but I just couldn't part with that adapter.....  I still have it.  And the funny thing is....  I have "never" used it.  It's one of those things you hold on to thinking you might need down the road and it ends up collecting dust somewhere in the garage only to be moved around a few times a year til you find a place under something else to hid it under.  I might have to put that on Craigs List and get it to a good home that wants or needs it, or at least to someone that wants to store it in their garage.

But before I do that..... if you want it I will take $50.  plus UPS shipping    Wink
