Back for a visit at SmokinJoe's favorite hotel, the good 'ol hos-pi-tal. Back in for a 3 1/2 hour Cervical Spinal Procedure. Really looking forward to this, like walking through a mile of burning gasoline. But at least it should allow me to ride this summer (I hope). This is the 5th year I am going through this sh..t!

Doc's think I am total nuts, can't figure out how I can still ride. The surgeon and my pain doctor (personal friends, one was at our wedding) told Susan I shouldn't be near a bike, said they been telling me that for the last 6 years. Good luck on that one. Plenty of time to stop riding when I'm dead!

Should go OK, will be out of it for only a a few days. Just another Sunday ride with the crew. Go through this Cervical and Lumbar crap every year.

Wish me luck!

Good Luck on the procedure Bro.

Personally, I'm getting tired of this surgery crap......

Go in and get one thing fixed and they find 2 more things to do......

Told the wife and the Dr's last week, this was all till next winter, well except for my Cataract removal in May.......   Lookin forward to that one, so I can see to drive at night again....

I can sympathize with you Sy... I hope your procedure works and does you some good.

I have been "off the bike" since November for the same reasons. These 80 degree days are painful when I can't jump on the bike and take a ride. Good Luck!

Hi all.

Just woke up, again. Been out of it most of the day. Sue got me home around noon (surgery was at 7:00am). Doc told her everything went well and he was happy. I feel like I got hit by one of Joe's 18 wheelers but my drugs have been taking care of most of that.

Maybe I will take Bruser out for a spin tomorrow.....maybe I'll wait a week or so, so I can turn my head without any pain, stand without falling down and walk without looking like I'm drunk. Sounds like a better idea.

Everything still hurts like hell, time for more drugs!

Thanks for all the good wishes.....BOOMR

Sounds like you guys are just going to the hospital to get drugs, what happen to no pain no gain....maybe you can lift your bike off the kickstand by yourself now... Grin 2funny Tough it up Sy, go outside pick up some dirt...rub it on the wound, smile at Susan, walk over to your bike, hop on without touching the handlebars, smile again and fire that baby up and go ride... angel...glad to hear you're alright my friend, get some rest hit it hard when you're better.
