I agree! The president has scrapped the plan due to the fact that virtually every veterans group that exists opposes the plan.

That is one reason there should be a requirement, if ya are going to be the Commander in Chief, ya better have done your time and served your Country.

Every day the news points up what a straw man Obama is.
 Stimulus money spent on the Kennedy Center, an imperfect bill but 'we have to quit doing things the old way'.
Surprise at the AIG bonuses until even Yahoo News points out that he and his gang  knew before hand.

You can bet your ass that he and the Congress and all the other federal functionaries aren't paying for any kind of treatment.  They're not clamoring to get on Medicaid or Social Security and they're not demanding a 50% pay cut for all three branches of govt.  If the Prez and his cronies were serious, they could find $540M  in their own  pockets.  He's despicable.

That was so wrong, but also he said he wouldn't raise taxes but he is planning to take away your deduction for you interest on your house and all charitable contributions so speak up. He is one sly sob that needs to be watched very closely, I am not against him but from what I see its like the corporate world mentality. If you cant get them one way do it another forget about downsize or personal circumstances in the government. Just like most of the politicians I hear today talking about tax increases when most people are suffering with income cuts. What are they NUTS? I am really tired of the people in government handing out money to some who wont work from those who do work and who do the right thing.

In an episode of the cartoon, "The Simpsons", Lisa becomes President and wants to raise taxes without calling the move a tax increase.  She settles on something like "Payroll Incentive Plan"
