Is it normal to feel some vibration in the handlebars when idling?
I feel a little vibration and almost a little tick when idling.

If it is normal, so be it.  If is not normal, what should be done to get rid of it?

Doesn't sound normal to me. Is there any other Valk owners near by whose bike you could feel and compare? In 10 years of Valkyrie ownership I have never heard of this as a complaint.

Could be your idle is too low, bad plug or plugged slow jet on one or more carbs. If it's much of a vibration it isn't normal.

I'm with the rest of you, I don't think we could do the nickle trick if the handlebars vibrated much, 900 rpm is about as low as you should go on the idle (JMO) let us know what you find.

Would it help to synchronize the carbs?   I think that  would help  to make your bike idle smoother.  Just my 2 cents.

an aftermarket bar or change in riser might change the way the bars shake or don't shake. Otherwise I'd say it is something running out of kilt, carbs out of sync, plugs not cooperating, or idle being to low and making it lope.

I don´t like vibrating handlebars. So, i removed the left grip, and inserted a piece of a ground wire for a welder in the length of the handlebar. The wire with the outside rubber is very heavy. These additional mass changes the resonance frequency of the handlebar, now it´s really dead....

Is it normal to feel some vibration in the handlebars when idling? I feel a little vibration and almost a little tick when idling. If it is normal, so be it.  If is not normal, what should be done to get rid of it?

Many have reported a harmonic vibration, usually only in the throttle grip.  Not a shaking Harley type vibration, more like a very high pitch humm at and above 3K RPM for 30-40 minutes or longer.  It will cause my right hand to go to sleep, and I have used a pair of Olympia gloves that have little air pumps on the wrists (like BB shoes) to pump air into the gloves (or heavy winter gloves), and the Kury throttle boss and/or throttle lock for relief.  I do think it is caused by the necessarily loose fit of the throttle sleeve and the loose rubbers in the Kuryakyn Iso grips most of us use.  It usually only bothers me in longer hauls on the freeway (which I don't do that much, if I can help it).   My Valks are perfectly tuned, synched, valved, etc, and this does not stop it from happening.  Never noticed anything at idle or in town.

Depends ... how much vibration are you talking about? IMHO a lot of vibration would mean that the carbs are way out of sync.

i cant say they shake alot, but you can see them move while the bike is running. and if you take hold of them they stop,it is a long stretch from the barclamp to the end of the handle bar and the weight of the mastercylenders would amplifie it too.

Cheesy Are you sitting on a Harley with your eyes closed? Cheesy

Are you running a Car Tire?
Are you using Mobile 1 synthetic oil?
