As mentioned in the meeting last night, the Run For The Wall comes through Texas next Sunday. This is a ride from California to D.C. to call attention to the fact that there are still POWs and MIAs from Korea, Vietnam, and the Gulf that are unaccounted for. The group will be at the Vietnam Wall in DC on Memorial Day. You can participate with a day ride with the group on Sunday the 18th. They will leave from Weatherford early or you can catch the group here in Terrell and ride to Longview or on to Louisana that night. It is NOT a ride for the novice rider. They ride hard and fast and stay bunched up as a group due to the escorts that get you through the towns. People line the highway waving American flags and saluting as you ride by (along with several hundred other bikers). It is quite an experience but you must enjoy riding with a large group.
