Stanley, by the way brother, that was a great tribute you wrote to your Dad. I know how you feel. I lost mine while I was at Winghot's in Cullman, Alabama getting ready to ride up to Cheaha three years ago after a long illness. Went and spent some time with him and Mom today.

He was a great man - to his family and friends. He served in the Army Air Corps and then was going to go into the Air Force but he met this beautiful, dark haired 17 year old girl from Roxie, Mississippi and decided to go to college and have a family instead - that little dark haired girl from Roxie would become my mother.

He learned to ride a motorcycle on a 1946 Indian and after settling down for his family, he lived his bike riding and Air Force days through his boys. He gave me my first Honda 50 for Christmas and my brother would retire as a Colonel in the Air Force. He would talk about his bike riding days to anyone that would meet him for Saturday coffee where he held court until his death. He sure liked each and every VRCC member that ever came over on Saturday to meet him for coffee.
Well, they rest forever side by side now. I loved him and miss him greatly. So, I spent this afternoon putting some new flowers, flags and solar lights on their graves. Happy Father's Day Dad! I still love you.

When he passed three years ago, Timbrwolf came up with an awesome idea - the Missing Man Coffee Ride. Thanks to all my brothers and sisters who came in remembrance of the man. There was one coffee cup (his) that was left upside down - it was a great ending for a great man. I KNOW he would have appreciated it - I know he did.
