I have been lurking on this board for some time and noticed a Stebel Air Horn on someones 'Valk' mounted under the tank next to the petcock and now I can not find the Photo to show my mechanic.
If anyone can remember where it was and post it again I would be thankfull for I think he is trying to get me to mount it up next to the radiator, and I think the other spot looks better

Thanks for your help.

I have seen that, but can't remember where.  I have mine mounted inside the right I/S radiator pod and have seen others with it mounted under the bike off the side stand bracket.

Thanks for the help it is much appreciated for I'm not good at turning a wrench at this stage of my life and have to rely on a mechanic and trying to convince others what you want is sometimes a struggle.

I used a piece of steel bar stock, maybe 2" to 3" long, 1" wide, and maybe 1/8" thick (these are approximate dimensions).  A hole drilled in each end, painted black.

There was an existing hole in the frame where the horn is mounted, that was drilled slightly larger and tapped.

The bottom photo is a little blurry due to being enlarged.

First off...sorry...no pictures...yet...

I just installed a Stebel on Marcia's Tourer.  I mounted it on the swing arm (the plate up near the pivot point).  I used an angle bracket from Lowes to mount it in the same orientation shown above (upright).  Easy enough install and DAMN that thing is loud!!!

And I REALLY love the horn!  Just be careful not to catch yourself off guard and blow it...

Thanks guys. I'll have to track em down and get a set. Even though the Rivcos are loud I never really liked the shrill sound they make.

Hey Mountainman, maybe this is what you saw. Mounted in conjunction with a chrome cover won at my first year at Cheaha compliments of ??????????? I think Michael Terry, or maybe Matt Teeple. Somebody help me here. I was a newby and remembered those two names as being sponsors with goodies. And excuse the water spots, at least I do wash it once and awhile.
