The 150 80 17 is the standard size for the valk. A few of us are using a less expensive bias tire on the front. That size is 150 70 17. The price is 1/2 the cost of the metz but we will see how it holds up.

I recently bought that size Metz for the front but is H rated. Got it from Jake Wilson for $109 with free shipping. Got the Dyna Beads for it at the same time....runs smooth as glass. The V rated tire is $153 and is good(supposedly) for another 20 mph or so. When I ordered it and the little honey that took my order questioned me on it, I told her at my age nothing happens at 130 mph, let alone 149 or whatever. Besides, the one I took off was an H and had over 16k on it with plenty of tread left but was starting to gatorback and that made it a bit squirrely on wet roads

I used the Metzler a couple of times and then went to the Dunlop E-3 and began to get over 25,000 miles per tire, with excellent handling and wet control.
Just my two pennies.

C'mon, that is definitely an exaggeration! We're talking Valkyrie's here. What is the total miles on your bike.
