Thanks

The right way to do it is to take it apart and clean the old grease and apply new dielectric grease.
The easy way is to spray some electronic cleaner like tuner cleaner from radio shack. I used a product called Corrosion X . You can get the little red tube into the swtch where the left/right arm comes out. Have a rag handy to catch the runnoff.

Take the turn signal housing apart. Remove the VERY small phillips screw and remove the thumb knob. Spray some contact cleaner or (I use) brake cleaner till all the old grease is gone. I take Q tips to dig out the switch and be sure to move the switch back and forth as you rub the contacts. Finally, relube with SuperLube from Ace Hardware and reassemble everything. That should take care of it for 3-5 years.

Have you added any other electro-suckers to your bike? Some of the other accessories can cause blinkers to slow down as they try to share. If you've added anything recently, unplug it and see if that helps any. If so, you need to re-wire how you have your accessories hooked together.
Or it could be dirty.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Mine does that to, esp when its below 40 deg. The 4ways come on right away but blinker is slow. Its fine in warm weather.  Evil

That means that the grease in the switch has hardened and is keeping the points in the switch from making.  I don't know if you can fix this by spraying.  On mine, I had to take the switch apart and clean all the old grease out, (it had the consistency of wax). Once cleaned and regreased, it worked like new.
