You can take the bearings to a local bearing dealer and they will match them perfectly.

Don't want to sound sarcastic, but is "All Balls" a brand name for these bearings. There is no such thing as tapered ball bearings, just tapered roller bearings.

I got the All balls kit (# 221020) and cross refed the numbers. this is the same kit used for the VTX's and ST1300, the VTX guys are having more issues then we are. I'm not going to use the ALLBalls, The All balls kit bearings are made in China by KML

the bearing numbers are 32006X and 32005X,  same numbers are used for SKF and Timken etc.

I stopped at a NAPA auto parts store on the way home, they carry the SKF brand (made in Mexico)the price on the 5X is $26.99 and the 6X is $27.99.

I called TULL Bearing of MSP and will be paying them a visit next week. ( NO bearings are made in the US) they have the prices down in the $15-$16 range.  I will post the information for ya'll to order from next week.

Just me, but I'd look elsewhere before installing bearings from there. Personal experience. I'd pay double for another country of origin as I'll probably do it half as often. To each his own though.

I just don't agree with giving China bearings a bad rap.

Just as with anything, there are good and bad and not related to any country of origin.

You can get some pretty bad stuff made right here in the USA.

The only other point I want to make is that bearings are all made to designs that were promulgated decades ago and accepted world wide. So no matter where the bearings are made they are all made to a standard design.  The only difference is bearing grade. You pay more for higher grade bearings.

What makes you think higher grade bearings are necessary for your particular application? It's nonsense to think spending more money will get you better service out of bearings!

I work with Chinese hydraulic parts every day, its junk!   Who thought that the OEM Japanese bearings were ever going to fail and now you want to put Chinese bearings in ???  we really need to think about that one !

Put in any Bearing you like and think what you will. I've worked as a journeyman machinist for over 28 years and Ricky-D is correct.
There are different grades to bearings. Just depends on what you want, like, and how much $ you are willing to spend.    cooldude

HEAD BEARINGS !!!!!   Just back from TULL Bearing of Minneapolis.   INTERESTING !!!  While the "ALLBALLS" bearings cross reference to the 32005x and the 32006x, the inside dimensions have been changed............the stock 32005x has a inside diameter of 25mm and the AB has 26mm stamped on the ring.   so a stock bearing will be too small.......Dick at Tull said, he has motorcycle, ATV and snowmobile guys bring in bearings all the time with altered specs......you can't change the dimensions after they are hardened.  so the only options are OEM or ALLBALLS.  T.P.
