A little help from you people that wear mini helmets and wear goggles. I hate helmets, going to Mich., have half helmet no shield, and going to have cateract surgery tuesday. I need a pair of goggles to wear with the helmet that do not have to fit over glasses. I dont want to be swearing 15min. after I put some goggles on so I would like to know what you people prefer to wear for goggles.

I go to the local bike shop, and by the front counter they usually have a display of goggles. I tend to pick up a $10 or so pair everytime I go in to keep a good variety.

I've got clear ones, various tinted ones, etc, and keep 'em in a large ziplock baggy in my saddle bag so they don't get too scratched up too quick.

You can get some really nice high end goggles, but I find that having a large supply of various cheap ones I can easily rotate through works well for me...

If ya no like the cheapies, stop in at The Bass Pro Shop, they have some duzzies, and expensive also.

They also carry some of the cheaper brands.......

I know you said goggles, but Lowe's has some $7 safety glasses that work great!  They wrap around nice, and close off the bridge of my nose real nice.  I rarely wear a helmet, and they stay on just fine. There are dark, medium and clear ones, too.  I keep all 3 in the bags, in "Crown Royal" bags.
Certainly, cheap is better, IMHO.

Kind of ditto to this, except I picked up my first pair or really dark safety sun glasses from a welding shop - cheap.  That was over 11 years ago, and I liked that pair so much, I found a whole box exactly like them on Fleabay.  I also carry a set with clear lens for after dark swap out.

I wear contacts, and could never stand enclosed goggles.  They always seemed to make my eyes water, and seemed to make them feel as if they were overheating somehow.

I had a bit of trouble keeping them planted to my face ONLY at higher speeds on the I-state when passing semi's while I road the old Yamaha Venture Royale with full faring, so I'd carry a strap that tightens between the earpieces and goes behind my head.  I never have trouble keeping them on riding my Rune or even doing triple digits out on the Vmax.

I went the expensive way.  I wear contact lenses and hate dust or debris in my eye, aslo hate them drying out.  I went with a company called 7EYE.  They used to be called PanOptx.  I have a set of GLASSES (not goggles) that are quite large (for glasses), have lenses that go from light to dark, and have a removable eyecup that is padded to stop wind and harmful debris from getting to the eye.  I wear them with a set of croakies that keeps them in place while wearing my half helmet.  I am very happy with them.  Second set I purchased within 9 years.

Thanks guys. Was at Wallyworld today I didn't care for what I seen but forgot to ck the eye glass place. Had 5 min. at the HD shop & seen some for $49-59 photochromic & felt real good. I dont know how well that eye is going to have to be protected but I suppose pretty good. I do my share of night riding so I need some clear for sure. I looked at the local Honda dealer and all they had was ones that looked like you'd wear them for deep sea diving. I'll do some more lookin.
