Found out last night that Lil' Mac had to have heart surgery yesterday. At last report, she is doing just fine.  Seems that one of her heart valves(?) was not closing properly, and the blood coming in was mixing with the blood going out. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what she meant, but am just grateful that everything turned out okay. That little girl is a fighter. However, this is all taking a toll on my grandson and his wife. Tried to tell them to put it in God's hands and it would all work out. Not sure that they believed me. Only time will tell. (Oh no, I'm starting to sound like my folks!) Thanks for listening.

Michael, I know you may have done this, at least in part, in the past, but could you post a name and address or maybe volunteer to PM names and address to anyone who asks?

I'd like to challenge as many VRCC as will to add a card of encouragement to their thoughts and prayers.

I'd be pleased to here that their postman has pulled a muscle.

Mike, Keep the faith. When one of my grandsons was born, the right side half of his heart had not developed and it had no function at all. He immediately underwent open heart surgery to re-route the flow to and from the heart to the left side. He has had three major open heart surgeries and is now five years old and playing little league baseball. Of course he is limited to how much running he can do but we thank God everyday that he is with us and does so well. Doctors today can do some great things and I know that prayer does change things. Of all the kids who have my grandson's problem, he is rated the number one success story among the doctors of Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. We credit that to good doctors and the grace of God's miracle working power. You are all in our prayers. God Bless. Hef

Prayers for healing for the little tiny one and prayers for the rest of the family for strength and comfort to endure.

Our God is good.

Blessings,
Carolyn

Are you an organ, tissue and eye donor for your state? Did you know one person can save or enhance the lives of up to 75 people. The # of people waiting for organs in the US would overflow the University of Michigan football stadium. It's the biggest in the country. Will seat over 109,000.

Mike,
I have seen babies a lot smaller than your little one fight and make it.  I have also seen several babies have the same surgery, it's kind of a common defect in premie babies.  With the advances in technology now days, it is flat out amazing what they can do for tiny little ones.  Just stay strong and focused, she will do just fine.
