I installed some Kuryakyn Transmission Side Covers yesterday and rode a little today. They look great and fit and finish was good. BUT, is it possible that they magnified the gear wine. It seems I am hearing the wine in all gears, more than I did before these were installed. Am I nuts or has anyone else experienced this ?   Undecided

TIA
Don

ya I have heard that complaint before...people saying it magnifies tranny noise.  Undercoating sprayed on the back side of the covers was said to help....synthetic oil if not already using, and louder pipes, all these will help

Totally agree.  It helps to be partially deaf, too, or wear a full-face helmet. uglystupid2

I just bought a set also, reading from previous posts, I decided to go to a stereo store and bought some "Road Kill" sound deadener.
Cut it up and installed it, will let you know shortly how it worked out!

Bill, you are a lot smarter than me.  Embarrassed I had forgotten about previous post on the subject. Would be a lot easier to cut and fit before install.  Undecided Would love to hear how it works out for you.
Thanks,
Don

Don

Got out on the Fat Lady yesterday with the new insulated tranny covers.

The "Roadkill" works great, no discernible noise at all from the transmission.

Go for it!
