There is nothing to see.

Sure, they have some neat planes and stuff.

Sure, they have a chapel that is kind of spectacular.

Yeah, the scenery is kind of nice around the academy.

But other than that, there is just nothing to see....Yeah, right.

Seriously, if you go...as I found out....there is a minimum gear requirement.  You have to have gloves, long sleeves and your shoes must cover your ankles.

Oh well....you know, Colorado is just a motorcycle playground.

That is a nice chapel.  My wife sung in that chapel back in the '60's with her college choir when they went on tour.  Quite awhile back.

Been there several times, in a cage and on the motor.

I was there one year for the graduation.

My nephew was in the graduating class.

Now he is a fat rat setting on his a$$ in Rapids City, SD at the Air Base there.

He is in charge of the Tower and all the people who work in it.

They do not do any managing of the planes by actual viewing them.

It is all done in a very dark room on radar.

I'd go nuts in a dark room for 8 hours........

What happened to the B-52? Looks like someone left it parked unattended and someone else stole the wheels off the sucker. Did you happen to take the train to the top of Pikes Peak? Last time we were out there, some sweet young thing  asked the guide what happens if the engine and the brakes fail. He told her there were two large springs at the bottom to stop it: Colorado Spring and Manitou Springs. She looked at him totally confused until her fella told her it was a joke. Poor guy was so embarassed...the way she looked at him she probably still doesn't get it.

I don't want to meet the person that stole the wheels. Those things are heavy. When we were slow in the bomb navigation shop I had to go help the hydraulics shop do a brake job. It was not fun, the brake assembly alone weighs 350 Lbs. But the bomb navigation stuff was fun to work on
