I used  Mobil  1 Synthetic.  since the 600 mile break in.
Time   for  This oil change-30000 miles .
Local parts store no mobil Synthetic.
I was taking a 1000 mile trip so i put in Mobil clean 5000= 5/30 + my mobil M1-110 Filter. for short ride, wrong decision

Took 1000 miles and checked the oil ,"Foaming" on the stick so i drained it and found babbit in my foamy oil,
Changed oil put in  mobil synthetic,New filter, rode home, no problem no foam.
But the top end is  a little more noisy
 Any suguestions out there
thanks
Jack

Suggestion: Take the oil, the babbit, the filter and discuss it with you local Mobil rep.
That should not happen.

I have used the same oil in a lawn mower  with no problems, but have not used it in a Valkyrie.
It should have handled a 1000 miles with no problem.

When I bought my big rig the oil changing folks asked if regular oil was in it or synthic was used. They said it's ok to switch to synthetic from regular oil but you can't switch to regular from synthetic. They said it causes big problems.

Never heard that I have switched from synthetic to regular in both my Jeep and Valk and have had no problems.

5w-30 is too light for a Valk.  70K trouble free with 15w-50 mobil 1. I don't even use 5w-30 in my wife's Lincoln.  Hoser

I dont think it was babbit and you heard no bearing noise. If you had enough to drain out that you could actually see then its not the bearings and you have more of a problem. But I really dont think it was and I really dont think you have a problem or one at least that wont show up now. You know the more I think about this question I think your talking about a Volkswagan, Harley or a lawnmower with splash lubrication. Roll Eyes
