HONORABLE SUSAN R. BOLTON
United States District Court
Sandra Day O'Connor U. S. Courthouse, Suite 522
401 West Washington Street, SOC 50
Phoenix, Arizona 85003-2153

                  Re Arizona litigation

Hon Judge Bolton:

With reference to the pending case by Justice Department v Arizona, may I respectfully remind the Court that at the time the Second Amendment was contemplated, and carried from State to State, there was no ever expanding Federal Government, a situation which unfortunately is no longer the case.

From the time of the drawing of the Declaration of Independence through the 1820's, the STATES were the line of first defense against the British incitement of the Indians on the southern and northern and western borders.  Later the States were the first line of defense against Mexico.

The right of the STATES to protect themselves by their State militia therefore predates the Obama Administration and like the right to bear arms is sacred and immutable. It exists to enable WE THE PEOPLE to be secure in our borders.

In its abject and willful failure to secure the southern border of Arizona, and in particular the cessation of attempts to erect the border fence, the federal government has abdicated its right, if any to dictate the reasonable response of the STATE to defend itself.  Arizona seeks not to secede but to live and to be able to reasonably identify and therefore repel or incarcerate invaders who kill, rob, rape and pillage and which foreigners Washington refuses to even acknowledge

The United States has been invaded by Mexico. The point of attack is currently Arizona, whether we admit it or not, and instead of filing suit the Federal government ought to be sending troops to march back to the border those who have illegally entered.

If I were to enter Mexico without a lawful passport I would be imprisoned, all my possessions taken. I would not be entitled to free medical care, education or benefit and all proceedings would be in Spanish. I ask for reciprocity of response.

Here in NY and elsewhere in this country, I, a lawful citizen, am required to show my identification at the supermarket when purchasing beer, when at the airport and many other occasions in my daily life.

How absurd that this federal administration, while cowering behind road signs which warn of danger to waste our precious resources and this court's time with such a frivolous litigation against Arizona.

Please rule in favor of Arizona and send a clear message to Washington

Our country needs heroes and heroines badly here at home. I believe you have the ability to be one such hero to our people.  Hopefully someone in Washington will be shamed into defending its citizens and not lashing out at the victims who are the lawful citizens of your state.

God bless the State of Arizona and God bless this country and its Courts.

                  Yours truly

                                                                         Charles Beaulieu
