Thinking about getting these for my 98 Tourer.  Anyone already have 'em that can recommend yay or nay?  Does the Valk have 1" or 1.25" handlebars?  (noob question I know... apologies)

The CruiserCustomizing website has them for $340 with free shipping.  With a 50 watt amp built in that beats the J&M amp speakers which are 40 watt & $499.  (so long as they work well at least)

Take a look at goodeals18.com.  I got a pair of waterproof speakers and a 100w amp for around $60.00.  I made brackets that attach the speakers to the windshield brackets and put the amp under the seat.  I am happy with it so far.

They are great. I have them mounted on the handlebars now.

Dag - is there anything you don't have mounted on your bars???   Cheesy cooldude

I haven't seen an answer, whether they are 1" or 1.25" bars...anyone? I think they are 1", but at work, and haven't measured mine.

EDIT Just checked the archives - they are indeed 1" bars...

Also, Dag - I notice your Vista Throttle Lock is mounted pretty "high", at least from where I mounted mine. Your's is above your kill switch, mine is just below. How do you like it up there, and how often do you use it? I ask, because I use mine quite a bit, and do a lot of off-on-off-on, and seems that high would be a pain. But, I don't like where mine sits, in front of the kill switch, if I ever had an emergency...can you elaborate?

Thanks,

Roger

I purchased my Kurakyn Speakers about a month ago for my 98 stand. Great product and really put out some juice for sound. They are for sure 1 inch handlebars. They are pretty easy installing having the built in amplifier, you don't have to worry about mounting a separate mini amp like most other brands have. Work great with sirius satellite radio and ipod, and come with a 1 or 2 year warranty
