I remember when they were $20.00 then went up to around $50.00 per pair for the longest time. Then when they went out of production I saw them going for around $200.00 and up on evil-bay! Supply and Demand??/ uglystupid2

A member on the Delphi Valkyrie Riders Forum is making knock-off's of these . I've seen them in photos and they look perfect. Can't remember his handle but I'm sure you could post " Rytek Knock-Offs " on the Delphi forum and he'd see it.

Bidding seems to have stalled on the Rytek tips I have up for auction.

Don't know if this is just due to guys waiting till the near the end of the auction to "snipe" the bid or if I have to thank the posters who so gratiously "c-blocked" my auction by posting about the knock-off ryteks being made. Thanks guys for putting the brakes on my ability to profit from those pesky laws of supply and demand and costs being determined by "what the market will bear". Obama would be proud of you..... cooldude

While I appreciate you expressing cost effective alternatives to the membership, It would have been nice if you had waited till my auction was OVER.

Not trying to come across as a greedy jack-ass (but I'm sure some of you will tell me that is what I sound like anyway), but how would you feel if you were selling something and someone was telling all your potential buyers where they could buy it elsewhere and for what price??? OR what if you had an auction of your belongings and you had someone standing next to the auctioneer saying "you know, you can get that item at store X for $XXX" and all your bidding stops????

Just venting, sorry if I pissed anyone off...

Nick,

Your feelings are understandable! If we can't vent here then whats the use of belonging to the forum. I also feel you'll get your price. Sent a PM to you.

You posted spam on the board (yes your ebay sales are spam here) and then get pissed because someone posts a better deal?

Just imagine if all the post here where nothing but links to ebay like yours that started this thread. What a board that would be.

Yep, I agree with Raymond.

You posted your listing in violation of this boards "Rules of the Road". Then you get miffed to the way this thread innocently progressed. Get real... I hope it hasn't backfired on you! But, lessons can be expensive...

So Raymond, according to you, I should not let the "general" membership know about an item I have up for auction? An item a LOT of people are interested in. When a member posts asking a question to another member about where they got a particular part on their bike, the response usually includes not only the name of the supplier, but also a link to where they can purchase it. Should this not be allowed as well? What is the difference if I am directing potential buyers to something I am offering myself or to another seller? Should these posts be banned as well? Or should they not be able to tell the questioner where they got the item in question , as SOMEONE might profit from the information or link???

I guess this board should be used only for pictures of food, complaints about whatever government is currently in power or discussions about guns, all of which seem WAY more relevant then offering a motorcycle accessory for sale. Wink

Again, not trying to offend, just starting a dialog and am very interested in the responses. Raymond, I respct your opinion and your right to voice it here as I am voicing mine,

Look forward to more interesting discussion,

Nick

No discussion necessary.  We do not provide this message board so our members can promote their ebay auctions.  Original link removed, and this thread is locked.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier guys.
