Been using the Facet fuel pump that comes with the Magna charger and it's just died. First one lasted 40k miles, last night replacement started pumping slowly on a motorway incline passing a camper and dropped my speed to 50mph, limped home using back roads.
Now this one seems to have gone west within just 6k miles.
My pal Russel donated a couple of fuel pumps off (I think) Kawasaki's and he tells me these self regulate.
Couple of dumb questions;
1. Can I use one or will it flood the carb ?
2. Should I fit the pressure regulator ?
3. Should I give up, buy a Harley and take up golf ?

Don't do that # 3, you will be sorry later.

Just about any fuel pump should be ok.

The needle and seat in your carb shuts the fuel down to what is needed and when it is needed.

I'm surprised you are having problems with the pump that comes with the kit.

Try to find a lad on this board by the handle of JeffK.

He is the blower gentleman..   If anyone knows, he is the man.

Here is a link to his generic parts.

While back I was e-mailing with Fstsix and we were talking about heat and Dyna module location.  He mentioned that his fuel pump for his blower in a location tucked away that the pump died. Not sure how many died, but he put the latest one is in the open so it can breath and has no issues. We thought it may die due to to much heat.

Here is the place for this MC fuel pump, High flowing low pressure, what ever you decide, use a fuel regulator @ no more than 2lb. i have had this pump for 6 years now. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NOS-15760NOS/  this pump is rated up to 200 hp. Holley 1-4 lb car regulator Summit has all the stuff on their site. good luck. Golf? been trying myself lately! i think i should keep the Valk Grin

Ditto on what Fstsix suggested it is my exact setup, my pump is under my gas tank and so is the regulator.
I also run a second pump for my N20 system and have have always thought it would be a backup if the primary one ever crapped out.
I had two of the originals go bad before I stepped up and now no problems.

Thanks guys, its Saturday morning here so time to go play in the workshop. My pumps were located behind a polished cover I made, so it looks like heat was the culprit. Think I'll try a regulated Kawasaki pump (and mount it in the open) I'll post the outcome. This has gotta beat golf.

I hate that rattly ass fuel pump, I always replace them with the NOS low pressure units with the holley regulator. I set the fuel pressure at 1 pound at full boost WOT. They work great.
